Do you really BELIEVE in Xmas?
December 2, 2016 | Acid Reflux, Breaking News
And so Xmas is just around the corner, what does it really mean to you and your business?
Have you really thought about how Xmas impacts upon you, your business philosophy and how in the ‘doing’, ‘thinking’ and ‘identity’ of your business this is embraced or not?
Our BELIEF is core to who we are and why we do what we do and yet in business we tend to steer clear of it, so as not to offend anyone.
I have noticed that people who have BELIEFS have more respect for other people with beliefs in business than those people who demonstrate they only believe in themselves.
Personally I feel concerned for people who feel they are the centre of their universe and that there isn’t a greater force outside of themselves than just them.
If as humans we believe just in science then how come we still can’t create humans, bring people back to life and find cures for common diseases?
Even scientists recognise that there is a forward pull on our lives that they can not explain why or what it is. Even scientists recognise that there is a universal pull on our lives and a survival sense beyond our understanding.
I feel so utterly blessed that I found my relationship with God over a decade ago.
I didn’t find a religion, I found my relationship with God.
Does that make me a good person? I don’t think so! I think it illuminates my flaws daily like a magnifier and brings things to my attention ongoing.
For me being a Christian is knowing Jesus died for my sin. Jesus was God’s only son who he gave us. His precious son died for our sins. So if we confess our sin then it’s done. We don’t have to keep wandering back there, it’s forgiven. Jesus gave his life so that when we confess our sins it’s forgiven.
It’s hard sometimes to get our heads around that we can just let go of what we did wrong and just move on. But we must if we are to keep our focus on what’s in front of us and not what’s behind us. Yes of course we can learn from it to avoid us going around the same mountains time after time, but we do need to forgive ourselves and forgive others and move on with our lives.
The definition of madness is doing the same things and expecting a different result!
People who in the passed have ‘shit’ on me are long forgotten because all I want for me and in my life is ‘peace’. What’s the point of me carrying anger in my system. Anger causes dis-ease that causes disease long term.
I am so glad that Jesus came to earth as a role model for us all to learn how to live our lives.
Jesus forgives all sin no matter who you are or what you have done and allows us all to just ‘start-over’ every day with a clean slate.
God for me is the ‘perfect father’ who is always looking over my life and the person who I have the strongest relationship with in life.
I became a Christian over a decade ago when I realised that I just could not do life on my own anymore. I called out into the night for Jesus to come into my life. My bedroom lit us with pure white light. I felt at peace but hadn’t a clue what was going on, so I hid under the sheets until morning. That next day I met with a Christian friend in a bar and we read the Prayer of Salvation together.
Prayer of Salvation – Our First Real Conversation With God
The “prayer of salvation” is the most important prayer we’ll ever pray. When we’re ready to become a Christian, we’re ready to have our first real conversation with God, and these are its components:
- We acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God; that He came to earth as a man in order to live the sinless life that we cannot live; that He died in our place, so that we would not have to pay the penalty we deserve.
- We confess our past life of sin — living for ourselves and not obeying God.
- We admit we are ready to trust Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
- We ask Jesus to come into our heart, take up residence there, and begin living through us.
Whatever Xmas means to you, may it be ‘shit free’ and filled with peace and joy.
Amen x
